2012....Real or Fake?

   In the past couple of years there has been a lot of debate whether the world will come to an end on December 21st, 2012. This originally comes from the Mayans calender that claims that the world will end on that date. Movies like "Apocalypto" and "2012" has led some people to believe that this is true. I beg to differ. I believe that the world ending in 2012 is false. I used to think "what if the world actually ends?" So I took my time and did some research on it. The first sign that the world wont end is that in previous years they also said the world would end. For instance in the year 2000 there was a panic because people thought that that would be the end of the world. But now nobody even cares about it know. So the media has pulled the same trick on us before and we are simply falling for it again. My next piece of evidence is that the Mayans lived roughly 3000 B.C , but in the year 45 B.C Julius Caesar invented leap year. Leap year has been around for about 2000 years which means that we are roughly 500 days behind what we should be on. I bet the Mayans didn't see that coming. So in theory "doomsday" should have been sometime last year. My third piece of evidence is NASA...yes NASA. They were a little angry that people thought the world was going to end so they did their homework and their is nothing unusual that happens this December. They studied everything from solar storms to the planets aligning up and even star patterns. The universe will be the same universe we know when the day comes. The reason why this catastrophe was even invented was...$$$$$....money. People love to see movies and shows about the end of the world because it gets them thinking therefore the creators are feeding off of all the watchers and making tons of money from it.
